Aiming to satisfy the photographer’s needs the Manfrotto ball head family has been completely updated to be more ergonomic and easier to handle. Payloads range from 4.4 lbs (2kg) to 17.6 lbs (8kg).
Features include a new friction control knob which allows micro movements without having to engage the head locking mechanism. The friction control is present in all models except the small 492 head.
The locking lever can be moved to the most convenient position, making it easier and quicker to work with this head.
All models featuring the quick release plate include an additional safety system that helps to prevent an accidental detaching of the camera from the head.

NEW!! Manfrotto (by Bogen Imaging) 732CY M-Y Carbon Fiber Tripod
The new M-Y family of compact products ready to use for the new generations of photographers has been improved with it the new carbon version: the 732CY M-Y CARBON tripod. The 732CY is great for young photographers who approach for the first time the Manfrotto world. Using a compact DSLR or bridge camera, they would like to have a lighter and more performing product.

The main advantage of the Gitzo GT2531 tripod includes: G-Lock is Gitzo's leg locking system that increases system rigidity by 20% and allows quicker and stronger leg locking. Gitzo has added a solid machined aluminium upper disc with a new Safe Lock material that cuts vibration and improves grip between the GT2531 tripod and head. The upper disc can also be fitted directly to the upper casting, removing the center column for ground level photography or to save weight. Available in two different sizes with different payloads, M-Y tripods are equipped with two new models of three-way (suitable also for lightweight video camera application) or ball heads.
Among the major innovations of this new family: new rotating selectors that allows to change the leg angle and stronger ergonomic collars to improve the performance and reliability of the leg locking.
Together with the M-Y range we have introduced also the renewed 391RC2 3-way head (which substitutes the 390RC2) and the 776YB compact monopod.
After the successful X and CX generation tripods, another range joins the Manfrotto family: the Y family. The letter “Y” states the link with the current X range, giving continuity to the naming of the Manfrotto products, and also represents a graphic recall of the tripods die casting; it will be present in all the codes of the M-Y family, identifying the range of products addressed to the entry level consumer; the letter “M” underlines instead the link with the Manfrotto proven professional quality and makes the name easier to remember and more remarkable for a product destined to the advanced amateur market, introducing it as “MY Manfrotto”.
The M-Y family will substitute the present DIGI family, which will be discontinued.
